LEARNING THROUGH THE EXPLORATION OF NATURE, LANGUAGE, ACADEMICS, AND MOVEMENT

We believe that learning should be dynamic, holistic, and integrative. Wherever possible, the River Farm curriculum seeks to integrate subject matters and allow for student’s voices and perspectives to be heard. To do so, River Farm draws upon an eclectic curriculum that supports the development of lifelong learners. While RFC students learn math, writing, reading, history, science, and cultural studies on a daily basis (and Spanish on a twice weekly basis), the overall instructional premise pulls concepts from various educational theories and schools of thought.

Children are unique, and there is no “one size fits all” approach in our learning model – we strive to meet children where they are, and challenge them to excel.
